Convenient Downtown Location

I have never had a bad meal here. It is convenient to Centennial Olympic Park, Philips Arena and CNN Center. It is a nice place to eat good food before you go to a game, event or concert and Phillips Arena. Park here and you won’t get stuck in parking lot traffic. The food is Asian-fusian but there are hamburgers, etc. The sushi is reasonably priced and very good. I eat here frequently.

My new favorite!

What a hidden treasure. I have driven past Thrive for the past year having no clue what it was and I finally decided to check it out.
As I walked in I noticed the funky yet sexy decor, very cool place to hang at the bar/lounge. The food rocked! What a wonderful fusion a flavors. The sushi we got as apps was hands down some of the best in Atlanta. For dinner I had the duck with mushrooms over a rice bowl with a ginger relish…WOW!! My husband had a chicken dish served over a parmesan foam…out of this world! I cant remember the names for the life of me. Then the drinks…we didnt expect to hang out in their lounge as long as we did. Very well priced refreshing and fun cocktails.
We had a blast and we will be coming back.
- Pros: Food, Drinks and Atmosphere
- Cons: Wish I knew about it years ago!

I was in Atlanta for a convention and Thrive was recommended by the concierge at the Omni. The setting was perfect for an intimate gathering of friends and business associates. We had a party of 9 and another table of 6 – there was no waiting. We had a delightful waiter who was very attentive and had a thorough knowledge on the menu. The Sushi was perfect. The hors d’ oeuvres were tasty and very original…capturing the attention upon first bite. I had the grouper sandwich and it reminded me of the best one I had eaten on the West End in the Bahamas nearly 20 years ago. Lightly breaded and not overly seasoned. My friend’s steak steak was done to perfection. All of us were very pleased with the entire experience.

There’s an almost feng shui genius to the menu’s polar oddities — elbow macaroni with cheese and bits of ham sounds downright pedestrian until you taste and it becomes a creamy-vs.-salty mess of something you want to just smear around and have fun with.

I don’t go to restaurants for their decor so with that said my experience at Thrive was fantastic. I will be dining again with them this weekend in a larger crowd. So fingers crossed to excellent and quick service.

Bib salad with avocado is great, one of the best salad I had in a while. Salmon, Halibut were very good too. Saluted scallops with Gnocchi was very good. Great, healthy food with nice atmosphere and very good servers make this place a must in downtown Atlanta.

Someone at the hotel across the street recommended this restaurant, and I’m glad they did. I was served by a very friendly waiter named Jorge. The salad and chicken I had was delicious, and the staff was very nice…great service. |
